Il Gran Duca di York impartisce comandi al suo esercito che deve salire la collina, poi subito scendere e fermarsi a metà. E’ una nursery rhyme che viene spesso abbinata a un gioco di movimento. Si dispongono delle sedie a cerchio, i bamibni seguendo le strofe della canzone devono alzarsi, sedersi e stare fermi a metà.
